Established in the year 1967,
the company has made rapid strides in the field of advanced knife
technology and established itself as the country's leading
manufacturer of complete knife systems. This has been made
possible due to round-the-clock, continuous, Research &
Development facilities and activities, untiring efforts of a
strong and dedicated team of high quality conscious work force, a
positive thinking management with a receptive and open mind,
state-of-the-art technology adopted, top-of-the-line equipment,
willpower always to excel and produce only the best, and an
unbiased Quality Assurance Department that operates
independently.
Way back in 1967 when India was
importing knives, Pran Nath Kapur & Sons Pvt Ltd, first
started catering to the needs of over 200 knife users in India,
by way of import substitution. With close interaction with
machinery manufacturers and actual users alike, the company
successfully developed the 'PNK PARAMOUNT' brand
which was considered an excellent alternative to imports. By the
year 1972, PNK PARAMOUNT knives were standardised
by over 1000 users in India and knife import was not felt
necessary anymore.
PNK with concentrated efforts decided to go international by exporting knives from India. The first breakthrough came in 1973 with exports to Australia and there was no turning back since, and today, PNK has multiplied it's exports to Australia alone by over 30 times besides catering to the US, European and Asian markets. In fact, over 80% of our total production is exported.
Due to demand on the home-front, PNK decided to develop Multiple Bottom Knives (Rewinder Blocks) in the year 1972. By the end of that year, PNK PARAMOUNT Multiple Bottom Knives became a resounding success with all the users which further encouraged the company to develop Doctor Blades for the Paper Mills and printing industries. PNK attributes it's success to it's quality conscious customers who do not compromise for anything but the best. No wonder, PNK PARAMOUNT discovered over 3000 such customers, not only in India but also in 50 other countries of the world.
